David Grunwald recently sent us this multimedia report detailing what he has learned from PACE Science Project #83: Fun with the Alarm:I connected electronic pieces to keep an electrical current.
I put the batteries in.
I matched all the pieces and then rematched the pieces several times until all the pieces worked.
I turned it on and off.
I made noises.
The propeller spins and flies up.
I did my own test to see if a cup of water conducted electricity. It did not. I added quarters to the water to be a battery but the current still did not go through the water because I did not charge the batteries enough.
I learned about electricity and circuit boards and how to connect them and make them do stuff. You could turn the piece either way, if it fit. The propeller would turn in the other direction. The motor spun the propeller. The wire connected the motor to a current to give it power to spin the propeller.
Way to go David! We aren't "alarmed" that you're learning so much! PACE Staff
